Event Announcement: Unimed to Exhibit at AidEx 2022

Updated: Mar 24, 2023

This November, the Unimed team will be travelling to Brussels to exhibit at the world’s most significant humanitarian aid and disaster relief event: AidEx 2022.

Over the last few years, we have all felt the consequences of cancelled in-person events due to the pandemic. Now that the world has opened up again, this will be a monumental experience for over 2,500 representatives of the humanitarian aid and development community, from over 65 countries, to come together.

What is AidEx 2022?

In its 10th year, AidEx is bringing together the international aid and development community to improve the efficiency of aid. The event is a chance to build relationships, learn the latest innovations, meet new suppliers and more. Here are just a few of the many features of the event:

  • High-level conference sessions

  • Discussion groups

  • Workshops

  • Impact sessions

  • Training programmes

Participants include those of UN Agencies, the EU, local and international NGOs, Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, government and the private sector.

Many people that represent humanitarian relief attend AidEx, with incredible speakers taking to the stage over the 2-day event. In November, we will witness speakers such as Gabriela Bucher, Executive Director of OXFAM International, presenting key information as to how they fight inequality to end poverty and injustice.

What’s Unimed’s Role at AidEx?

As a proud exhibitor at AidEx 2022, the Unimed team will be sharing how we can support the procurement of medical products across the world. With now having supplied healthcare essentials to over 31 countries, Unimed has contributed to improving the efficiency and accessibility of medical equipment worldwide.

Our Founder & Managing Director, Shameet Thakkar, will be meeting other exhibitors and attendees to raise the importance of immediate access to medical products such as medical consumables and surgical items, medical equipment, laboratory reagents and beyond.
