Unimed Scores the Shortlist for the Leicestershire Business Awards 2022

It’s an honour to announce that Unimed has been shortlisted for the Leicestershire Business Awards 2022, run by East Midlands Chamber!

The team has been recognised for Excellence in International Trade, which shows how our strategy for equal access to medical products has had an international impact. Unimed has supplied to over 27 countries so far this year alone, which reflects our continued hard work towards supplying medical essentials across the globe.

What are the Leicestershire Business Awards?

Each year, the East Midlands Chamber hosts three award ceremonies in Leicestershire Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. This is to celebrate and recognise leading businesses across these locations for their impact on local communities and worldwide consumers. Categories include Community Impact, Commitment to People Development, Small Business of the Year, Excellence in International Trade and more.

Sponsored by HSBC, the award for Excellence in International Trade would assist Unimed in being further recognised for its contribution to humanitarian response, including disasters such as the Haiti earthquake and floods in Germany.

Recently, Unimed has sourced and supplied training uterus devices and several neonatal products to Rwanda, Africa, in an attempt to heighten the access to healthcare for mothers and babies. Being shortlisted for the Leicestershire Business Awards 2022 assists us in making new relationships with partners, manufacturers and suppliers globally, as we can highlight Unimed’s contribution to international trade.

When Will We Find out More?

Finalists will now go through to a final level of judging before the winners are announced at the Gala Dinner on 4 November.
